April was Child Abuse Awareness Month
and guess who came out to support Project Nightlight's work?
Marilyn Manson!!!

For anyone who thinks that this might be a strange partnership, we just want to say that since Manson's donation, we've had several Manson fans write to us in support of our mission. Including some who admitted to struggling with child abuse.

Even though Manson's music is not for everyone, he has a very strong fan base and we would not have been able to reach some of these people without his support.

Here's how it all went down...Back on Halloween of October of 2006, Manson opened the Celebritarian Corporation Gallery of Fine Art to showcase his own paintings and his future collaborations with other artists.

To raise awareness of child abuse he invited Project Nightlight to set up shop at the opening of the gallery and now has generously donated a limited edition print of his self portrait titled "Eve of Destruction" (print number 11 of 25). This framed print will go up for auction on Ebay soon along with other Manson collectables, such as 2 Manson face masks.

Project Nightlight has been working with various other artists, such as Venice based Kathy Leonardo, and will be posting songs for free download later this month. If you are a musician interested in sharing your music, please drop us a line at music@projectnightlight.org.
