Saturday March 31st - Project Nightlight yardsale. Lots of great stuff that's been donated by our posh volunteers. Email for address and details.
Wednesday March 28th - Launching our teen workshop in San Pedro. Teaching these tweens (ages 8-12) how to recognize abuse and not be afraid to get help.
Thursday March 29th - Another one of our gals is up for adoption and will be highlighted on Fox 11. This particular princess loves horses and hopes to become a vet one day. Project Nightlight has partnered up with the Westside Hopsital for Cats to show her what a day in the life of a vetrinarian is really like.
Ongoing - Guest speakers in East Los Angeles presenting our high energy teen workshop.

April 2007 April is Child Abuse Awareness Month and guess who came out to support Project Nightlight! None other than Marilyn Manson himself. For those of you who don't know; Manson has opened his own gallery to showcase his spectacular work and collaborations with others. To raise awareness of child abuse he has generously donated a limited edition print of his self portrait titled "Eve of Destruction" (print number 11 of 25) from his Celebritarian Corporation Gallery of Fine Art to Project Nightlight. This framed print will go up for auction on ebay on April 1st to kick off Project Nightlight's month long campaign. Other Manson collectables will be aucitoned and raffled off during the month. (To enter the raffle; just donate to Project Nightlight. All donors will be entered.)

 

 

April 12th - PARTY IN HERMOSA BEACH for Child Abuse Awareness Month- Bring your posse out for a fundraiser/party on the Hermosa beach pier at Sangrias. There will be a phat silent auction; poker tables and pretty south bay men and women to mingle with. Plus; many opportunities to donate to your favorite charity! Details will be posted in the next few days. This event is being produced by our friends at Imagine Marketing Agency.

March - May 2007 - East LA - teaching teens to recognize and report abuse through the Boys and Girls Clubs of East LA - compliments of Kaiser Permenente.

April 28th - Volunteers needed for 6 Flags day out for foster children. We need you from 7am to 10 am. Starbucks will be provided.

 

Halloween Party at Marilyn Manson's!

Marilyn Manson chose to benefit Project Nightlight for his very private Halloween party and gallery launch. We were told by his management that we were the first charity that he's partnered with in quite a while, so high five to our volunteers that made that happen! Manson has all sorts of young fans out there that could potentially need our help and we've already had an outpouring of emails since the event. (plus, there was lots of fun had bythe Project Nightlight volunteers manning the booth.)
